How the Energy Codes Will Impact the HVAC Contractor

This presentation is designed to make the HVAC contractor aware of how the requirements in the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code will affect everyday installations. Focusing on HVAC installations in residential applications, topics will include: programmable thermostats, duct insulation, duct sealing, duct tightness and how it is to be verified by a duct leakage test. Guenther will also address pipe insulations, mechanical ventilation systems, equipment sizing and cross references to the 2009 International Residential Code and the appropriate ACCA design manuals.
