Carter Stanfield grew up in the air conditioning business, and his family still owns and operates Stanfield Air Systems in Athens, Georgia. He is currently the Air Conditioning Technology program director at Athens Technical College, where he has taught Air Conditioning Technology for more than 30 years.

Carter’s writing includes co-authoring Fundamentals of HVACR, articles for the RSES Journal, and the blog HVACR Fundamentals. His industry credentials include RSES CMS, NATE Certification, and a State of Georgia Unrestricted Conditioned Air Contracting License. He earned a BS Ed. Degree in Technical Education from the University of Georgia, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
